About the Event
The NoHo and North Hollywood Northeast Neighborhood Councils invite you to a Rent Control Town Hall focused on Council District 2, organized in partnership with Keep LA Housed.
We will be discussing the proposed Rent Stabilization Ordinance (RSO) motion aimed at lowering the cap on rent increases for rent-stabilized units. With rising rents, even in rent-controlled properties, becoming increasingly burdensome for residents, this initiative seeks to:
📈 Set annual rent increases at 60% of the Consumer Price Index (CPI), capped at a maximum of 3% annually.
🚫 Prohibit additional rent increases for utilities or added occupants.
This event is in-person only, and will bring together tenants, housing advocates, and community leaders to share experiences and offer insights into how this policy could promote greater housing security.
