James Askew

James Askew is a District 4 At-Large Representative.

​

 

He and his family love many things about North Hollywood - its vibrancy, its walkability, the parks, and its proximity to transit. In his five years on the Council, James has served in a variety of roles; in the past he has been Co-chair of the Public Safety Committee and led the Beautification committee, and he was the Treasurer for the council from 2016 to 2021. He currently serves as Vice-President and chairs the Planning, Land Use and Transportation Committee as well as the Ad Hoc Slow Streets Committee.

He remains passionate about mobility issues, safer streets, and encouraging more affordable housing and more infill housing in our community. In addition to the NoHo NC, James also serves as a member of Metro's Community Advisory Council.
